It's been a year since I've first interviewed the absolutely delightful Courage My Love, playing a super fun headliner at The Borderline at the time, where we talked about the final Warped Tour and their emo-est hairstyles 👩🎤 A lot has happened in the meantime. Turns out I got my yolo on and crossed said giant bucket list item off in the summer - coincidentally my Warped Tour date was on the same day as Courage My Love's show in London (😭). And after playing 2000trees, they caught up with Warped Tour in Toronto, playing a surprise gig at the final cross-country run ever. Full circle.
I finally reunited with the exceptionally talented trio hailing from Kitchener, Ontario, this time before they took the Kentish Town Forum stage to support As It Is on their biggest UK headline show yet. In my second interview with Courage My Love, Mercedes, Phoenix, Brandon and I talk about their new release Remission, fun facts about the video shoot as well as lots of supernatural shenanigans and conspiracies 👻, and we also get an insight into karaoke singing with As It Is 😅
Later that night, Courage played a stunning set of old and new, including favorites like Stereo and Need Someone off of their game-changing Synesthesia, as well as their new song Remission and ending the show with the throwbacky You Don't Know How.
As if delivering an absolute killer set wasn't enough, I want to point out that the precious people stuck around after the show to meet every single fan, and when the fans got kicked out of the venue by security, the band joined them outside in the freezing cold to make sure no fan went home without a selfie or autograph 🙏 Courage My Love absolutely adore their fans and I can confirm that whoever sees them live for the first time will quickly count themselves as one of them. This band deserves the world and more - I am beyond excited about what 2019 is going to bring for them. ❤️
