my contribution to the age of narcissism...
How do you do, fellow kids?
My name is Sophie and I work at a social media agency in London where I manage the social channels of a huge global brand.
DANG that sounds cool - unfortunately it is in no way representative of who I am.
With the status of an eternal outsider due to moving countries a few times, not being able to relate hugely to my native language German, and general not fitting in, music and visual media speak to me in a way that most people cannot.
I've been going to shows for 10 years, but with none of my friends sharing my taste in music - which is ridiculously limited to pop-punk, some hardcore and 90s emo and other alternative tunes - I have had to force myself above the surface of a scene that I will still never be a part of - but I can talk about it. After all, that's what I do for a living.
This is where I share that content in the form of video interviews, live snaps and reviews of interesting tunes and shows ('gigs' if you're English).
3 fun facts about me:
I was obsessed with Shania Twain when I was 7 years old.
I think people that laugh about everything are odd.
I once missed a great university course which included a trip to the Berlin Film Festival because Mineral played a show that weekend.
